We’ve worked hard to create valuable content on the Clipping Path India blog over the years. So much so that we now have more than 50k monthly pageviews to the blog.

Creating high-quality content takes a lot of resources. We’re always looking for ways to collaborate with other members in the industry through guest posts.

If you’d like to contribute to the Clipping Path India blog, read below for our guest post guidelines.

What we’re looking for

The Clipping Path India blog aims to educate and empower readers with well-researched, data-driven, thorough, and actionable content.

Who we write for:

  • Ecommerce brands: They may be wholesalers, have their own website, sell on Amazon and other third-party marketplaces, etc.
  • Product photographers: Freelancers, in-house photographers, people who work at a studio/agency, etc.

We have a very firm commitment to high-quality content.

We have a very firm commitment to high-quality content. Anything that doesn’t meet our quality standards will not be accepted. We owe it to our audience.

As such, articles are typically 1,200 words or more — though we let the subject dictate content length. Complex topics may require more, while simple, straightforward pieces might be shorter.

We do NOT tolerate plagiarism of any kind.

Choosing your topic

Your best bet is to spend some time exploring our blog, the topics we write about, and who we’re speaking to. If we’ve already covered your topic before, it probably won’t work unless you have a new, unique perspective or angle.

Here are a few of our top posts:

Guest posts may be written articles, infographics, videos, and other multimedia. They generally fall into the following categories:

Storytelling: A first-hand account of how product photographers and/or ecommerce brands manage their product photography workflow. This includes both outsourcing and in-house photo-editing. We’ve written a couple of stories like this before: How Claurete shoots product photos and Speak Skincare and outsourcing.

Photoshop tutorials: Step-by-step guides on how to perform specific editing tasks in Photoshop. All tutorials should have a focus on product photography edits and manipulations. We expect video graphics and/or screenshots that match our existing tutorials. Find our published Photoshop tutorials here.

How-tos and actionable advice: Includes real-world examples, hard data, implementable takeaways, original quotes, and thorough explanations of each step in the process. Readers need to be able to walk away and implement at least one idea immediately. Some examples:

Note that not all content must fit into one of these buckets. If you have a really amazing idea that would resonate with our audience but it doesn’t exactly fit, send it over anyway. We make exceptions in special cases :)

Here’s what not to do

As we said, we're very strict about the quality of the content we publish on our blog. Because of this, there are many things we cannot accept:

  • Plagiarized, copied, or stolen content
  • Content that has been or will be published elsewhere
  • Topics we’ve already written about
  • Link-building schemes
  • Promo-heavy content

How to submit your guest post

If you have a post you’d like to submit or a topic idea you want to run by us, send an email to editor@clippingpathindia.com with “guest post” in the subject line. Share a Google Drive folder with the following:

  1. Google Doc with written content (don’t forget to throw in a headline or two)
  2. Hero image and any supporting imagery with attribution (hero images should be 850 x 371 pixels and any supporting images should have a width of 796 pixels)
  3. Author name and bio (include your website URL)
  4. Headshot

If you only have an idea, include it in the body of your email and we’ll get back to you if it’s of interest.

Managing expectations

Our editorial team reserves the right to make any edits, changes, and additions to the guest post as deemed necessary. This includes but is not limited to additional CTAs to Clipping Path India services, removal of overly self-promotional content and links, and imagery and graphic design. We may also update the post in the future to maintain relevance and accuracy.

We share all accepted and published guest posts on social media. We expect contributors to do the same and tag us in social posts related to the content.

If you’ve submitted a guest post and haven’t heard back within 30 days, you can consider your submission unaccepted and are free to pitch it elsewhere without worry of duplicate publication.

We look forward to hearing your ideas!
